Electronic Music Therapy — Beat & Breathwork Exercise

A 4/4 beat-guided breathing tool. The orb expands on inhale and contracts on exhale, synced to the rhythm. Choose a breathing mode, adjust tempo, and optionally add a simple melody.
State: Stopped
BPM: 60
Breath: In 4 / Out 4
Phase: —
Tip: 60 BPM makes 1 beat = 1 second (easy to breathe with).
How to use (30 seconds): press Start, follow the orb: expand = inhale, shrink = exhale. Keep it gentle. If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally.
Expand = Inhale
Contract = Exhale

Beat (16-step) — kick / snare / bass

Melody grid (optional) — click cells to add notes

Browser synth (no MIDI device needed). Want real MIDI output later? We can add WebMIDI.

Breath modes (beat-synced)

Practical pacing patterns. Keep it gentle—no breath holds by default.

Quick start

  1. Choose a mode (Relaxation is a great default).
  2. Press Start and follow the orb.
  3. Keep shoulders relaxed and exhale soft.
Note: This is a wellness tool, not medical care. If you have a respiratory/cardiac condition or feel unwell, skip breath pacing and just enjoy the music.
